Warhammer
Discover Purchased Warhammer and Crafted Warhammer Skills!
Warhammer
Warhammer is an orange offensive ship specializing in the Cutthroat class. It can only be purchased in Season 1 and is no longer available for purchase after that. Starting in Season 2, you can craft Warhammer, but the quality of the crafted ship will be random, ranging from Blue, Purple, to Orange. Additionally, the skills will be assigned randomly, so the crafted Warhammer may not have the same quality skills as the purchased version. You can craft Warhammer multiple times by obtaining the necessary parts from Cartographer's Corner and Rogue's Retailer, and you also have the option to replace one of the skills on the crafted ship.
Purchased Warhammer Skills

The Damage will increase as the target's current HP decreases. The boost can increase up to 100% of the Attack.
Basic Skills
DEADLY BROADSIDE
Increases the ship's Attack by 8% and its Critical Rate by 5%.
THUNDEROUS FURY
The ship deals 12% more Damage of all types.

Ultimate Skills
FLEET SUNDERER
When the ship launches a Basic Attack, there is a 20% probability that it will deal a Cutthroat Damage equal to 100/150/200% of its Attack to the target. The Skill can be triggered at most once every 10 sec. The Damage will increase as the target's current HP decreases. The boost can increase up to 50/70/100% of the Attack.
Comments:
This skill is based on probabilities. There is a 20% chance that your ship will deal 100/150/200% Cutthroat Damage equal to its total attack, and as the target's HP decreases, it will deal an additional 50/70/100% damage. The skill's low 20% probability makes it less reliable compared to other ultimate skills available.
COST OF STRENGTH
When the ship deals a Cutthroat Damage, it will inflict [Armor-piercing] on the hit ship.
Armor-pierced: decreases Armor by 18/24/32 for the following 5 sec and by an additional 5/7.5/10 for every 20 Impact the ship has.
Comments:
This skill decreases the defenses of the target ship every time your ship deals Cutthroat Damage, meaning it continuously ignores a part of the targeted enemy's armor. The effectiveness of this ultimate skill stems from two key aspects. Firstly, if your fleet lacks heroes or skills that ignore or decrease enemy defenses, its potential damage is wasted. Armor-Piercing skills are essential as they counter the support and tank heroes increasing the enemy fleet's durability. Secondly, since Cutthroat Heroes prioritize low HP enemy ships, this skill aids in executing low HP targets by reducing the armor support they might receive from enemy tanks or supports.
SAME OLD TRICK
The Hero Skill that has dealt the highest Cutthroat Damage in the previous 20/20/10 sec will be recorded. Every 20/20/10 sec in the battle, the ship will launch a Skill that deals the recorded Damage against the target fleet.
Comments:
This skill deals bonus damage to the enemy fleet every 20 seconds (for blue or purple quality) or every 10 seconds (for orange quality). It ensures consistent damage compared to the Fleet Sunderer skill, especially if your Cutthroat Heroes are well-enhanced. The skill records the highest Cutthroat damage dealt by one of your heroes and replicates that damage to the enemy fleet at the specified intervals.
FINAL COMMENTS
Fleet Sunderer would be a better skill if it wasn't dependent on probabilities. It might trigger damage every 5 attacks or only every 20, which gives it a disadvantage. Both Same Old Trick and Cost of Strength skills trigger with guaranteed probabilities.
As veteran gamers, not just in Sea of Conquest but across various PC and mobile games, we believe armor penetration combined with high damage is essential for victory. In this case, you need to understand your fleet's capabilities and attributes to determine which skill best serves your fleet's victory. If your fleet lacks armor penetration attributes, you may want to go for the Cost of Strength skill.
Between Same Old Trick and Fleet Sunderer, you need to consider your ship's and heroes' total attack. For example, if you have a Warhammer with a total attack of 100k and Luna with a total attack of 40k, who deals the most damage with 400% Cutthroat Damage equal to her attack. If you have Fleet Sunderer, you have a 20% chance to hit 200k damage to the enemy with every basic attack (considering the ship does a basic attack approximately every 2-4 seconds). For Same Old Trick, every 10 seconds, Luna may deal 160k Cutthroat Damage (depending on cooldown). Even if Luna isn't able to use her main skill every 10 seconds, Bones can still deal high damage as well. In this case, Same Old Trick may be superior to Fleet Sunderer.
Skill Pool Unique to Warhammer
Basic Skills
WEAKNESS DETECTION
Increases the ship's Cutthroat Damage by 7/10/14%.
Comments:
The most damage bonus you can get from general skills is typically around 12% (for orange quality skills), which makes this skill better for Warhammer as it provides a 14% boost to Cutthroat Damage.
KINGPIN STRATEGY
Increases the ship's Attack by 3/4/6%, and Cutthroat Damage by 3/6/9%.
Comments:
This skill, which combines Attack and Damage Bonuses, is highly effective. The efficacy of the Attack Bonus often surpasses that of the Damage Bonus, depending on your ship's Attack and Damage Bonus attributes, as well as the attack-to-damage ratio of the heroes aboard. In any case, this bonus is approximately 15% or even higher making it better than other Damage or Attack Bonus skills.
PENT-UP RAGE
When the ship deals a Cutthroat Damage, if it is not a Critical Hit, increases your Critical Rate by 5/8/12%, and when the ship deals a Critical Hit of Cutthroat Damage, the Critical Rate boost will be cleared.
Comments:
This skill has excellent damage potential if you have high Critical Damage and Critical Rate (at least 75%) attributes. It can quickly increase the Critical Rate to 100%, ensuring the next attack will be a Critical Hit and deal Critical Damage. Onimusha is the best hero to have aboard the Warhammer in this regard, as he also boosts the Critical Rate.
WARLUST BLAZE
The ship deals 3/5/8% more Cutthroat Damage while in battle, with an additional 3/5/8% increase every 10 sec. The increase can stack up to 3 times.
Comments:
This skill is the best you can equip on your Warhammer due to its stacked Cutthroat Damage. With the orange-quality skill, you gain a 32% bonus to Cutthroat Damage after 30 seconds into the fight. Even if the battle lasts a bit more than 10 seconds, you'll still enjoy a 16% damage bonus, which outperforms other skill bonuses.
FINAL COMMENTS
Warlust Blaze is the best skill you can have in your Warhammer as a basic skill. Second best of the unique skills is Kingpin Strategy, then third is Weakness Detection. All three skills serve to increase the Cutthroat Damage or Attack of your ship. Pent-Up Rage has good damage potential if you have high Critical Damage and Critical Rate attributes.
General Basic Skill Pool
Every ship may have skills from the general basic skills pool. For example, when you craft a Warhammer, the game will provide you with three random basic skills from the Unique Skills of Warhammer and the General Skills pool. General Skills are divided into four categories: Offensive, Defensive, PVE, both Offensive and Defensive. We will attempt to interpret all of the general skills below and rank them within these categories. It's up to you to choose between them based on whether you want your ship to be fully offensive or have some defensive capabilities as well.
Offensive
THUNDEROUS FURY
Damage
The ship deals 5/7/12% more Damage of all types.
Comments:
By increasing damage of all types, this skill boosts the attack-to-damage ratio of your heroes' skills and the basic attack damage output of your ships.
PRECISE ARMOR-PIERCING
Impact
Increases the ship's Impact by 10/14/24%.
Comments:
This skill enhances armor-piercing by boosting Impact, which ignores a portion of the enemy targets' armor and defenses.
PURE GUNPOWDER
Attack
Increases the ship's Attack by 5/7/12%.
Comments:
This skill increases the attack of your ship overall, boosting both the heroes, sailors and the ship's attack.
Attack | Critical Rate
DEADLY BROADSIDE
Increases the ship's Attack by 3/4/8% and its Critical Rate by 2/4/5%.
Comments:
This skill enhances Attack by 8%, which is a solid boost considering the highest available ratio in the general skills pool is 12%. Additionally, it increases the Critical Rate by 5% if the skill is of orange quality. However, the skill is only effective if you already have a high Critical Rate (at least 75%) and substantial Critical Damage. Otherwise, it's not recommended for your ship.
Attack | Critical Damage
LARGE CALIBER BROADSIDES
Increases the ship's Attack by 3/4/8%, and its Critical Damage by 4/8/10%.
Comments:
This skill enhances Attack by 8%, which is still a good ratio, with the highest available ratio in the general skills pool being 12%. It also increases the Critical Damage by 10% if the skill is of orange quality. However, the skill is only effective if you have a high Critical Rate (at least 75%) and good Critical Damage. Otherwise, it is not recommended for your ship.
Attack | Impact
ENHANCED ARMOR-PIERCING
Increases the ship's Attack by 3/4/6%, and its Impact by 4/8/12%.
Comments:
Enhancing both Attack and Impact, this skill is one of the best for damage output, as it ignores a portion of the target's armor and increases attack.
Basic Attack
HEAVY ARTILLERY
Lengthens the interval of the ship's Basic Attacks is increased by 0.5/0.5/1 sec, but increases the ship's Basic Attack Damage by 20/35/70%.
Comments:
This skill is best suited for ships with heroes aboard who enhance basic attacks. It works particularly well on the ship Goddess Satjit with Artillery heroes such as Ophelia, Qi Lanting, Sharky, Chizuru, etc. It's not really recommended for other ships.
Damage
PRE-EMPTIVE STRIKE
The ship deals 15/20/30% more Damage of all types. But the boost will be reduced by 3/4/6% after each Skill release performed by Heroes aboard. The boost will be reduced up to 4 times.
Comments:
This skill looks like it provides good damage output, but it drops to 6% within 5 to 10 seconds, which is too quick to be considered as effective early damage. Overall, it's not a recommended skill.
Impact
Glass Cannon
Increases the ship's Impact by 14/20/30%, but reduces Armor by 7/10/15%.
Comments:
This skill offers one of the best Impact Bonuses but reduces your ship's armor in return. It is only beneficial if your ships have good durability enhanced by other ships in your fleet, such as Ahab's shields or Cordelia's healing. However, if you feel that your fleet's durability is already average in battles, this skill is not recommended.
Critical Rate
LAST STAND
Increases the ship's Critical Rate by 8/10/15%, but reduces Critical Resistance by 6/8/12%.
Comments:
This skill offers one of the best Critical Rate Bonuses but reduces your ship's Critical Resistance in return. Critical Resistance relates to your ship's defenses, reducing the damage received when the enemy lands a critical hit. It is beneficial only if your ships have good durability enhanced by other ships in your fleet, such as Ahab's shields or Cordelia's healing. However, if you feel that your fleet's durability is already average in battles, this skill is not recommended. Also, this skill is only effective if you have a high Critical Rate (at least 75%) and good Critical Damage; otherwise, it's not recommended.
STEALTHY MANEUVERS
Lower Aggro
Decreases the ship's Aggro by 12/18/28.
Comments:
This skill is purely defensive as it decreases aggro, meaning the enemy fleet is less likely to target the ship with reduced aggro.
Defensive
Reactive Damage
SHOTGUN WEAPONS
The ship deals 5/10/15% more Splashing Damage.
Comments:
The game states that "Splash Damage applies exclusively to fleets attacking you, excluding your current target fleet. When your ship is in 'Pounce' mode, it inflicts one splash damage to random ships in surrounding fleets that are attacking you." In essence, Splash Damage occurs when you're under attack by multiple enemies, affecting all attacking fleets except the one you're actively targeting.
We lack precise information about what 'splash damage' means in the game—whether it depends on the damage received from enemies, the damage dealt by your ship, or if it has a standard base damage that can increase with bonuses. We can speculate on two scenarios: Firstly, it might function as a reactive damage mechanism seen in other games, where your targeted ship deals a percentage of the damage it receives back to the attacker. Alternatively, in the second scenario, when the ship deals damage to a fleet, a percentage of that damage bounce to all nearby fleets.
In either scenario, it functions as a defensive skill that enhances your damage output when targeted by multiple enemies. To test its effectiveness, one could attack multiple Armed Freighters and observe the amount of HP lost from those not directly targeted.
Reactive Damage
REVENGE FERVOR
For every 1 fleet attacking on the fleet you are in, increases your Splashing Damage by 2/4/6%. The effect can stack up to 3 times.

Offensive & Defensive
Damage | Durability
DEFENSIVELY OFFENSE
The ship deals 5/8/12% more Damage of all types. When the remaining HP falls below 50%, the effect will be adjusted to this: The ship receives 5/8/12% less Damage of all types.
Comments:
This skill is particularly effective because its effect varies with your battle status. When your ship is healthy, it provides a 12% damage bonus, equivalent to the highest bonuses offered by general skills. As your ship's HP drops below 50%, it shifts to boosting your armor, extending your ship's longevity in battle.
PvE
Attack | PvE Damage
ART OF WAR
Increases the ship's Attack by 4/6/10%, and the ship can deal 4/6/10% more Damage of all types to non-player ships.
Comments:
This skill can be a viable option, providing a 10% Attack Bonus, slightly less than the highest possible damage bonus of 12% offered by general skills. However, its primary effectiveness lies in combating PvE (non-player) targets.
PvE Damage
WAR TACTICS
Increases the ship's Damage of all types by 10/14/25% to non-player ships.
Comments:
This skill bonus is effective solely against PvE (non-player) targets and holds no utility in PvP (player versus player) battles.
FINAL COMMENTS
Here are the top 5 skills listed without ranking:
-Defensively Offense (Attack Bonus and Increased Defenses)
-Enhanced Armor-Piercing (Attack and Impact Bonus)
-Precise Armor-Piercing (Impact Bonus)
-Pure Gunpowder (Attack Bonus)
-Thunderous Fury (Damage Bonus)
Begin by assessing the attributes of your fleet and its ships. Determine whether Attack Bonus or Damage Bonus yields better results for your ships. If your fleet lacks Armor-Piercing skills from heroes or ships, Impact Bonuses become crucial. Given the game's current meta favoring tanky flagships that bolster fleet armor and defenses, Armor-Piercing skills are essential.
Stealthy Maneuvers (reduces aggro) is highly beneficial if you lack durability and are aiming to increase your defenses.
Heavy Artillery is most effective on ships with heroes who enhance basic attacks, especially on Goddess Satjit when paired with Artillery heroes such as Ophelia, Qi Lanting, Sharky, and Chizuru. It's generally not recommended for other ships.
Shotgun Weapons and Revenge Fervor revolve around Splash Damage. Due to limited information on how Splash Damage performs, it's unclear whether these skills offer superior benefits compared to other Attack or Damage Bonuses.
Skills like Deadly Broadside and Large Caliber Broadsides rely on your ship's Critical Damage and Critical Rate attributes. These skills are effective only when you have a high Critical Rate (at least 75%) and significant Critical Damage. Both attributes must be balanced, as having 100% Critical Rate with low Critical Damage only marginally increases damage. Similarly, high Critical Damage is ineffective without a sufficiently high chance to land Critical Hits.
Glass Cannon and Last Stand are not recommended because they lower your defenses while increasing your damage output. This can be disadvantageous, especially since enemies may already possess skills that reduce your defenses. Adding further negative effects on yourself only makes it easier for the enemy to deal more damage to you.
Pre-Emptive Strike looks like it provides good damage output, but it drops to 6% within 5 to 10 seconds, which is too quick to be considered as effective early damage. Overall, it's not a recommended skill.
Art of War can be an alternative option, offering a 10% Attack Bonus, slightly less than the highest possible damage bonus of 12% offered by general skills. However, its primary effectiveness is in combatting PvE (non-player) targets. On the other hand, War Tactics is effective exclusively against PvE (non-player) targets and has no utility in PvP (player versus player) battles.
