Season 2 Guide

In Sea of Conquest, the true gaming experience begins with Season 2 in the polar ice-themed Boreal Seas, introducing exciting new game mechanics. In this post, we'll highlight what's ahead of you: new heroes and ships, a new map, new events, new artifacts, new game features, and more.

The first event of Season 2, called "The Trailblazer," takes place before you can enter the Season 2 seas. In this event, you can earn points through various activities such as sinking Armed Freighters, trading, or donating gold, food, drinks, resources, or gems. In return, you can receive rewards and a damage boost effective in the Season 2 seas. The easiest way to earn points in this event is by donating gold.

Blue Breaches will appear in the Season 1 seas, with a timer indicating when you can enter Season 2 - Boreal Seas. To travel to the Boreal Seas, you need to be next to a Blue Breach with no items in your inventory, no heroes gathering and and no Infamy (less than 1000 Infamy should be fine). Remember, you can travel back and forth between the Season 1 and Season 2 seas as long as the Blue Breach is open.

Upon entering the Blue Breach for the first time, you'll start at a port located on the edge of the Season 2 map. Similar to Season 1, your objective is to capture a Stronghold and secure Sentry Towers to pave your way to other Ports, ultimately reaching the Level 7 Port positioned at the map's center. You'll encounter two other servers in the same seas, so expect competition to capture ports and checkpoints.

New Heroes

Similar to Season 1 heroes like Bones, Griffin, and Ophelia, Season 2 introduces new heroes that can be summoned using golden conches: the Blazing-specialized hero Tanaka and the Drowning-specialized hero Adeline. Click here for detailed information about the Season 2 heroes and their skills.

New Ship: Stormbringer

Stormbringer is an legendary (orange) offensive ship specializing in the Blazing and Drowning classes. It can only be purchased in the beginning of Season 2 and is no longer available for purchase after that. However, you will also have the option to craft the ship using in-game resources, which we'll explain below. For more information about Stormbringer, click here.

Season Specializations & The Flame of Life

This is one of the new features of the game where you earn Flame by defeating Monster Lairs (Squad Raid) and exploring the map. Each level in Flame of Life offers rewards like conches and speed-ups or a permanent battle power bonus. Advancing to the highest level of Flame is crucial in Season 2, as it significantly enhances your strength. You can perform Squad Raids multiple times to gain unlimited Flame rewards.

By participating in Squad Raids and Gang Raids, you can earn special gems that offer bonuses such as Armor, Attack, Damage, and HP. As you increase your Flame level, new gem slots will become available, allowing you to equip the gems you've earned. The more challenging the Raid levels, the better the gems you'll receive.

A useful trick to get better gems early in the season is to use Cross-Server Matching for Squad Raids. Keep trying until you match with someone who is ahead in Season 2, then ask them if they can do Lair 3 or 4 for you. If that player is the leader of the squad, they will be able to start a Lair that is not yet available to you.

Gang Raids

Gang Raids are similar to Squad Raids but involve more players and are exclusive to members of your Gang. They offer large amounts of Flame and high-quality gems. Additionally, Opal (pink-purple) gems can only be obtained through Gang Raids. The rewards are available weekly, so you'll need to complete all levels every week with your Gang.

In Gang Raids, some rewards drop from defeated Monsters and Bosses. These drops later appear in the Gang's auction house, where Gang members can bid on them. The highest bidder receives the item, while other members get back the emeralds they bid. The drop rate increases with the number of players who haven't yet received rewards that week. This means that if 30 players participate in the Gang Raid for the first time that week, the raids will drop more auction items. Remember, only these drops from Gang Raids will be auctioned in the auction house. Gang members cannot put their own items up for auction. Examples of drops include ships (orange, purple), hero fragments, speed-ups, high-level ship parts, experience stones, and master pipes.

Trinkets

Trinkets are a feature in Sea of Conquest that becomes available in Season 2. When you equip a trinket to a hero, the hero gains the special attributes of that trinket. Some trinkets are common and can be obtained by summoning with pink conches. Season special trinkets, which have unique attributes, can be summoned with golden conches. Trinkets provide bonuses such as Armor, Attack, Damage, Healing, and more to the Hero's ship. Additionally, there are season-specific trinkets designed for season-special heroes. Check all the trinkets and their attributes here.

The Trinket feature will be locked at the beginning of Season 2. You can unlock it by either reaching Level 15 in Aurora's Guidance or Chapter 15 in Grand Odyssey. While Grand Odyssey will take about 15 days, it should take you a maximum of 7 days to reach Level 15 in Aurora's Guidance.

To upgrade Trinkets, you need Eternal Flame in the Sea, which can be obtained from Trial AFK rewards (similar to experience stones), mist incidents, sea monsters, and disassembling trinkets. Disassembling trinkets also earns you special tear stones that can be used to promote the rank of the trinkets. Keep in mind that disassembling purple trinkets will earn you a purple tear stone, which can only be used to promote one level of a purple trinket. In other words, to upgrade a purple trinket to the maximum level (6-stars), you need to disassembly six purple trinkets.

Building Ships

As mentioned earlier, once Season 2 begins, you'll have the opportunity to construct your own ships. In Season 2, you can build the Warhammer and Stormbringer ships. The fragments required to build these ships are 20x Blueprint of the ship and 20x Shipwright's Hammer. You can obtain these components either by purchasing them with real money or from the in-game shops Cartographer's Corner and Rogue's Retailer.

The first build of each ship will be of purple quality, but for subsequent builds, you may receive a ship of blue, purple, or orange quality depending on your luck. Building the same ship multiple times increases your chances of obtaining a legendary orange quality ship.

Another challenge of building ships is that the skills on the crafted ship are randomly assigned. Each skill also comes in blue, purple, and orange quality, with some being significantly better than others. While the ultimate skill cannot be rerolled, you can reroll one of the other skills on your ship as many times as you want to try for better options.

Check our detailed guide on ships and skills for Warhammer here and Stormbringer here to assess whether the skills on your ship are optimal. This will help you decide which skill to reroll. Additionally, you can find information on the skills of purchased Warhammer and Stormbringer ships in their respective guides.

New Items in Markets

You will earn a new type of coins from exploring the Season 2 map, and similar to Season 1, you can use them to purchase items from Cartographer's Corner. In Season 2, new items available for purchase include Blueprints of Warhammer and Stormbringer, Shipwright's Hammers, and purple trinkets. Remember, the items in Cartographer's Corner are available for one-time purchase only and do not refresh.

You'll also be able to purchase Blueprints of Warhammer and Stormbringer, as well as Shipwright's Hammers from Rogue's Retailer. Each week when this market refreshes, you can buy two chests. You have the option to choose either 20x Blueprints of Warhammer or 20x Blueprints of Stormbringer in total.

New Artifacts

The first artifact of Season 2 is a hook. It can be activated on an enemy fleet, locking onto it and allowing you to charge toward the target at high speed for a minute. You still need to move your fleet along with the enemy ship, but they will not be able to use Storm Horn (the horn artifact that grants high speed) to escape when hooked. The only way to escape from a hook is to enter a port, but if the target is far from the port, they won't make it.

The second artifact is a type of shield that temporarily freezes your HP, preventing further loss for a moment. It activates automatically when your HP is low, so there's no need to activate it manually.

New Dishes and Drinks to Craft

There will be new dishes to cook and new drinks to prepare in Season 2. You can check all the cooking recipes here and drink recipes here for Season 2.
