Flagship and Small Ships

In Sea of Conquest, advancing primarily revolves around enhancing your Flagship's capabilities through leveling up. This vessel serves as your primary means of both combat and trading on the open ocean. As you ascend in levels, the cost of upgrades escalates, and starting from Level 6, you'll encounter cabin upgrade requirements essential for advancing your Flagship to higher levels.

You will be getting a offensive blue ship "Black Raven" during the Chapter VI of the main plot. The quest in the left side bar it will ask you and guide you to build the Black Raven which you can add to your fleet.

The game will give you another blue ship called "Dragon Lance" which is a Defensive ship. The next free ship in Season 1 will be a purple one named "Crimson Sentinel," which is an Offensive ship categorized as Blazing and Drowning. Throughout Season 1, there will be no more free ships available. However, if you're willing to purchase with real money, you have two options for this season: the Fearless Princess and the Warhammer. The Fearless Princess is a purple ship categorized as Offensive and Strategist, recommended if you have the right heroes to complement it. On the other hand, the Warhammer is an orange ship categorized as Offensive and Cutthroat; though it's a bit pricier, it packs a powerful punch. Moving into Season 2, crafting ships becomes possible, but what you receive is entirely luck-based—it could be a blue, purple, or orange Warhammer. However, the odds of obtaining an orange one with desirable skills are quite low.

Compass - Exploring the Mist

In Sea of Conquest, your companion in navigating the misty unknown is none other than the Golden Compass. This invaluable tool serves as a gateway to good amount of speed-ups and resources within the game. Venturing into the mist, you'll utilize your compass to chart courses through ports and gates, unlocking missions unique to each location.

Once you use the compass, you'll receive missions categorized as Landward Quests and Maritime Incidents. By completing all these missions, you'll earn emeralds, speed-ups, and Guild points, the amount depending on the level of the port or gate.

Guilds

Guilds play a significant role in the game, offering valuable rewards as you increase Guild points and achieve relation levels. Progression through these levels is achievable with the right strategies. You begin at Neutral relations, then progress to Friendly, Respect, Reverence, and Worship. Advancing to the next level is facilitated by accumulating points through various activities such as Auto-Trading, completing Commissions, exploring the map and using the compass on Ports, donating to Governors in related Ports, employing Guild Sail Patterns on your ship, and holding a position of Port Official.

Auto-Trading is a feature where every port, belonging to a Guild, rewards you with Guild points based on the worth of the items you sell there. On the Auto-Trade page, you can view the amount of points you'll earn from each Guild as an outcome of the trade.

Commission quests are available at each Port, with varying risk levels. As the risk level increases, so do the points you'll earn: Gray (10k Points), Green (15k Points), Blue (25k Points), Purple (40k Points), and Orange (80k Points). To undertake a Commission, you require an item known as the Pirate Seal. These seals are replenished every 8 hours, with a maximum capacity of 15 at any given time. Additionally, completing Daily Quests also rewards you with Pirate Seals.

Exploring the mist yields a substantial number of Guild points. These points are acquired by clearing Mist Incidents and fulfilling quests at ports and gates using the Compass.

Donating to Governors of the Ports will earn you 1,000 Guild points per donation, with a daily cap of 100 donations. However, exercise caution, as the cost of donations escalates from 1,000 to 20,000 gold with each successive donation, resetting to its original amount everyday.

Guild Sail Patterns can be one of the most effective methods for earning Guild points. By affixing a Guild Pattern to your sail, you'll receive points for every combat-related activity. Whether you're taking down Armed Freighters, battling Sea Monsters, or engaging in player-versus-player combat, you'll accumulate a substantial amount of Guild points on a daily basis.

If your Gang appoints you as a Port Official for one of the Ports owned by the Gang, you will receive a chest daily. This chest allows you to choose a Guild from which you can earn points.

Trade

Trading is your primary consistent source of gold income in Sea of Conquest. When you're able to actively check the game during the day, opt for the most profitable short routes for auto-trading. At night when you sleep or basically when you won't be able to monitor the game, select longer routes that will maximize your earnings.

Remember, the longest route isn't always the most profitable. The level of the ports play the key role in auto-trading. Additionally, if the port belongs to your gang, you'll receive about a 20% bonus. Aim to trade with ports that are part of your gang, or at least include one gang-owned port in your route. For short routes, choose the highest level port along with the next highest level port to maximize profits. Also, consider the guilds of the ports. Select ports from which you need Guild points. This strategic approach will enhance both your profits and your level of relations with Guilds.

Heroes

We previously noted that progression in Sea of Conquest hinges largely on upgrading your Flagship's capabilities. However, the level of your Flagship alone isn't enough; having strong heroes and the right compositions is crucial. An important game mechanic to remember is that if your Flagship's HP reaches zero, you are defeated, regardless of the remaining HP and sailors on your smaller ships. Therefore, it's essential to make your Flagship as durable and tanky as possible and your small ships should be optimized to serve as damage dealers.

In the game, you need to collect yellow and pink conches to summon heroes. For every 10 summons, you are guaranteed a purple hero, and for every 100 summons, you will receive an orange hero. Of course, if you're lucky, you can get an orange hero even within your first 10 summons.

Trials

Trials represent a close combat PvE feature where players engage in battles against five heroes in each chapter. As you progress, the difficulty level increases, presenting more formidable opponents with each successive chapter. Each chapter is divided into 10 sub-chapters, allowing for a potential of 3 stars per sub-chapter and totaling 30 stars per chapter. Stars are earned by achieving specific objectives: defeating all enemy heroes, ensuring none of your own heroes perish, and finishing the battle before the 4th round concludes. Accumulating stars is pivotal for unlocking better rewards. Achieving 12 stars in a chapter awards the first tier of rewards, 21 stars yield the second tier, and obtaining all 30 stars grants access to the highest tier of rewards, each tier offering increasingly valuable prizes.

Before we get into how to collect all the stars, it's important to note that you don't need to achieve all three objectives simultaneously. For instance, if you defeat the enemy within 4 rounds but lose a hero in the process, you can replay the round with a tank or healer to ensure survival. Since you've already accomplished the objective of finishing in 4 rounds, you can focus on meeting the other criteria to earn all 3 stars.

To earn 3 stars in Trials, it's crucial to utilize heroes with skill cooldowns of 4 or below, enabling them to use their skills at least twice within 4 rounds. A key strategy is to activate the skill of your strongest champion before they execute their first basic attack. This is because skill cooldowns decrease after the hero performs an attack, not at the beginning of the round. For instance, if Sharky's skill cooldown is 4, using his skill immediately at the start of the battle (before his first basic attack) allows you to use his skill again in the fourth round, maximizing your hero's effectiveness in combat.

Using heroes with high area-of-effect (AOE) damage is a valuable strategy in Trials to maximize your effectiveness across multiple enemies. Ideally, your composition should include three AOE damage heroes to clear groups of adversaries efficiently. Pair these with two single-target heroes that can deliver high damage. Consider using some of the heroes listed below, as they excel in dealing high damage in close combat scenarios. These heroes are formidable, capable of holding their own even against adversaries fifty levels above them. Include Oscar in your composition; his skill inflicts an armor-piercing effect on the targeted enemy while boosting ally hero damage for two rounds. This is particularly crucial when enemy team has healers or tanks, as you aim to eliminate them before they have the chance to use their skills to heal, shield, or boost armor.

Salvage Barrels:

While I've personally obtained 3 conches from a single quest on multiple occasions, I firmly believe that with exceptionally great luck it's possible to secure all 4.
