The fishing activity, now renamed "Angling," has recently transformed into a completely different side adventure within the game. I'll provide a simple guide on how to fish, with pictures from the game, to help you get started. First, to access the fishing area, click on the fish icon located at the bottom of your screen, as shown in the picture below.

Before I explain how to fish—it's very easy, by the way—I'll summarize what you can earn through fishing. The most important reward is fish coins, which you can use to buy valuable items like conches, speed-ups, resources, and more.

Fish Basket: Every sea has 9-10 types of fish that are unique to that specific sea. In the Fish Basket, you can view the heaviest fish you've caught for each type. Catching each type of fish at least once unlocks some rewards.

Fish Cards: You can collect fish cards by completing quests, buying them in the market, or purchasing them with real money. Collecting as many fish cards as possible allows you to upgrade them, which in turn helps you deal more damage while fishing and capture higher value and heavier fish.

Fishing Gear: You can obtain fishing gear through the Angling Shop, by completing quests, or by purchasing it with real money. You can also upgrade your fishing gear with pieces obtained through these same methods. Upgraded gear allows you to deal more damage while fishing, which means you'll catch fish faster.

Auto-Fishing: You can assign a number of baits for Auto-Fishing, and at the end of the countdown, you'll automatically earn the fish that have been caught. However, based on experience, it's unlikely that you'll catch legendary fish through auto-fishing.

How to fish in Sea of Conquest:

First, click on the big yellow button (labeled "Start Fishing" on the picture above). This action sends your bait into the sea, and soon after, a fish will bite the bait.

As shown in the picture, you need to use the yellow button to stabilize the fishing bar. Press and hold the yellow button to fill the fishing bar. To be able to catch the fish you should hold your finger down for a moment and then release it periodically to keep the fishing bar within the yellow targeted area. You will need to play the hold-and-release game for some seconds.

It’s fairly easy to get used to, but there are other factors that affect your fishing. The most challenging aspect is the time countdown. If you don’t deal enough damage to the fish, you won’t be able to catch it before the countdown ends.

To catch fish before the countdown ends, you need good fishing gear that will help you deal more damage, and upgraded cards that will also increase the damage you deal. Higher-level cards will be more effective in this regard.

You can collect various cards by completing daily and weekly quests in the Angling Pass. These quests will also provide pieces to upgrade your fishing gear.

Useful tip: Perform daily auto-fishing in the seas where you have the most upgraded fish cards to ensure your baits are used effectively. Also, don’t forget to enable 'auto-sell' since you get plenty of fish daily from the Salvage Bay and don’t need the additional catches.
